The merchant chattered all the while, a very happy man who loved his work and was more than happy to share his travel stories with the Princess and the King (Hanna had prompted the discussion -- spotting a silk-sleeved scroll which when unrolled, displayed foreign symbols which had made Hanna gasp and excitedly ask for explanation.
